Which Glacier Adventure is right for you
and your Group?
Ice Climbing. For the adventurous, you can't beat
this trip. While a certain level of fitness and agility is needed,
this sport relies as much on technique as strength. In fact, when
we take couples climbing, by the end of the day the woman is the better
climber...and the guy is tired from trying to do pull-ups all day!
Our climbing trips are rigged as "top rope". This means that if you
can't complete a climb, you won't be left behind as everyone returns
to their starting point.
The Ice Fall Trek is the most popular and best value
for trekking. The longer duration enables us to get to some of the
most amazing features on the glacier. If you're able to be on your
feet and walking at a very moderate pace for 3 hours or so, this is
the trip for you.
The Glacier Hike may be appropriate for smaller children
or those that are not up for spending 3 hours on the ice.
The Jet Boat Tour is a quick way for anyone to enjoy
the river and glacier. These 1 1/2 hour trips are designed to get
you out of the car for a fast, fun excursion.
All trekking and climbing trips travel on uneven ice and rock terrain
with moderate ups and downs. We take a lot of breaks for photos and
learning about the glacier.
Your Responsibilities on the Ice:
All participants on our trips must follow our procedures and sign
a waiver. Only parents or legal guardians may sign for minors. You
may preview this document by clicking HERE.
We cannot take infants in arms, backpacks or any other devices on
any of our trips.
Please call us in advance if pregnant.

What about the weather? The weather is what it is.
There is no accurate forecast for the glacier area, our weather can
be quite different from even just 10 miles down the road. Glacier
View is often sunny when it's raining in Anchorage.
Don't bother worrying about what the weather will be like this afternoon,
next week or next month. No one knows. Our trips go rain or shine,
but if you show up and it's pouring rain and you don't want to go
on your trip you may cancel at that time with no penalty (this rarely
happens).
We're located at Mile 102.5 on the Scenic Glenn Highway. Approximately
2 hours from Anchorage. See the map to the left for driving
distances as you plan your vacation.
Trip times listed are for Check In. We cannot wait for
late arrivals.
Plan to spend a day or two in this spectacular part of Alaska
and enjoy glacier activities, white water rafting, hiking, backpacking,
berry picking and more.
